"Fava beans are a wonderful large “old world” bean sometimes confused with the lima bean. In truth it is worlds apart because of its earthy flavor. The beans we use at Bob’s Red Mill have had their tough, wrinkled, dark brown skins removed by blanching, leaving only the creamy tan “essence” of the dried bean. We mill these beans on our centuries-old millstones. The flour we create is a beautifully fine granulation Fava Bean Flour expressly for your cooking and baking needs. Fava beans offer a great protein source for vegetarians, and our fava bean flour contains 9 grams of protein per serving. It is also a good source of iron and an excellent source of dietary fiber.
